Thirty houses in four days: the autumn/winter 2026 couture week calendar

Piccioli’s debut at Balenciaga and Duran Lantink’s at Jean Paul Gaultier. And it all ends with a flight to Rome — for Chiuri’s first couture outing at Fendi.

With the 2026 World Cup in full swing, couture week on the other side of the Atlantic promises events of its own.

Autumn/winter 2026 haute couture week runs from 6 to 9 July, with 30 houses taking part, against 27 last season. Most attention will fall on the first couture shows by Pierpaolo Piccioli at Balenciaga and Duran Lantink at Jean Paul Gaultier, and on the second collections from Jonathan Anderson at Dior, Matthieu Blazy at Chanel and Silvana Armani at Giorgio Armani Privé.

Among the season’s guest houses is the Indian couturier Manish Malhotra, who dressed Karan Johar at this year’s Met Gala. His label is part-owned by Reliance Brands Limited; the same group has a partnership with Rahul Mishra for his ready-to-wear line. The second guest is Standing Ground, the British label of the Irish designer Michael Stewart, winner of the 2024 LVMH Savoir-Faire prize.

Among the returning names is Iris van Herpen, who shows couture every July. The schedule also features its regulars: Schiaparelli, Julie de Libran, Alexis Mabille, Elie Saab and Viktor & Rolf.

Valentino is absent from the calendar: Alessandro Michele has moved the house to January couture shows. Also missing are Gaurav Gupta, Julien Fournié, Miss Sohee and Phan Huy.

Maison Margiela last showed at couture week in July 2025, when creative director Glenn Martens presented his debut collection for the house. It appears on neither the January nor the July schedule, though founder Martin Margiela will auction part of his personal archive in Paris on 9 July.

Adeline André closes the schedule at 16:00 in Paris on 9 July. And some guests will fly on to Rome that same evening: Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first couture show for Fendi takes place there.
